News Moulds Event 2006 gathers companies and universities from all over the world
The two main centres in the national mouldmaking sector, Marinha Grande and Oliveira de Azeméis, organized the fifth edition of Moulds Event, between November 13th and 17th. The event converged more than 700 participants from 12 European countries, Brazil and the Unites States of America. During a week, the event held a series of seminars, debates and presentations on key-subjects that the sector faces at world scale.

News Seminar: “Reinforce industry’s future, rethink its recent history”
This event was an opportunity to re-analyse, more than 40 years later, three moulds selected from a vast collection of ancient preserved mould projects that were produced in Simoldes, Moldoplástico and Mecamolde. These three examples were examined through today’s current practices and technologies, analysed by project engineers from the new industry generation and observed by professionals of the same age.

On the morning of November 13th the Forum “Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship and IPR” took place. New opportunities for QREN 2007-2013 were presented and discussed in the presence of the INPI directors as well as the identification of advantages of the Industrial Property System in order to protect innovation and also the initiatives and support programmes for innovation and entrepreneurship.
