MOULDS EVENT 2006 (PORTUGAL)

 

Moulds Event 2006 gathers companies and universities from all over the world

The two main centres in the national mouldmaking sector, Marinha Grande and Oliveira de Azeméis, organized the fifth edition of Moulds Event, between November 13th and 17th. The event converged more than 700 participants from 12 European countries, Brazil and the Unites States of America. During a week, the event held a series of seminars, debates and presentations on key-subjects that the sector faces at world scale.

Technical workshops debate companies’ problems

During the 13th, 14th and 15th November, Oliveira de Azeméis held the discussion of noteworthy thematics that companies face when entering new markets, whether national or international. Thus, on Monday, the workshop “The valorization of the mould to the client” took place. Blaupunkt, Moldit and Microplásticos were the companies that evaluated this issue in several perspectives: from the consumer’s point of view as well as the supplier’s.

Seminar: “Reinforce industry’s future, rethink its recent history”

This event was an opportunity to re-analyse, more than 40 years later, three moulds selected from a vast collection of ancient preserved mould projects that were produced in Simoldes, Moldoplástico and Mecamolde. These three examples were examined through today’s current practices and technologies, analysed by project engineers from the new industry generation and observed by professionals of the same age.

Industrial Property and E-learning Hybrid Moulds precedes the official dawn of Moulds Event 2006

On the morning of November 13th the Forum “Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship and IPR” took place. New opportunities for QREN 2007-2013 were presented and discussed in the presence of the INPI directors as well as the identification of advantages of the Industrial Property System in order to protect innovation and also the initiatives and support programmes for innovation and entrepreneurship.

ISTMA Europe Seminar at Euromold Show

ISTMA Europe organized on 1st of December morning at Euromold exhibition, in Frankfurt, a Seminar under the general thematic motto “Tooling Industry on-going changes and Market Trends”. Embracing this subject, the attendees received working information on present demands of automotive and aerospace industry and were informed about opportunities for the Mould and Die Makers who have the task to produce the tooling for the required parts and components.
